Back to the same block but this time we had permission to go onto both neighbour's. There was one spot in a cutover that had vertical 50 m shots and it was a real challenge. We lost a few of those birds. Afterwards, we realised we could have strolled right up to the roosts from the opposite side. Where we approached from did not look like it had an easy way around. Now we know better.
Later we tried to drive into the next property. Having not been there before we never did find where we wanted to go. It always pays to check out a new block during the day.
